I had a lovely time one afternoon last week on the pier at the house. Looking at a nearby tree, I noticed a Blue Gray Gnatcatcher working around on the trunk. I thought at first it was bugging for lunch. After watching for a little, I realized that it was peeling bits of the stringy bark of the Cyress. Nest building season is hectic!
