The White Ibis is one of our more unusual common waders. That long curved bill is just the tool for probing muddy terrain grabbing insect, worms, and such for beneath the surface. They also dabble in shallow water in search of small fish and crayfish. Adults show almost entirely white with black wing tips. This flock was in Aurora.
